Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

The award-winning purpose-built Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is Malaysia’s premier facility known for its highly knowledgeable and professional team committed to delivering flexible, innovative and value-add solutions, customized for clients, in a strategically located, well-maintained and world-class venue. Asia’s one and only AIPC (International Association of Congress Centers) Gold Stand-ard Venue, the Centre offers 22,659m² of flexible function space, including two auditoria; 3000-seat Plenary Hall and Plenary Theatre for 470; a Grand Ballroom which seats 2,000 diners, Banquet Hall for 500, three Conference Halls, 12,310m² of column-free exhibition halls including a 2,600m² standalone marquee and 23 meeting rooms.

Overlooking the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers and the 50-acre KLCC Park, the Centre is sited right in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), a 100-acre ‘city within a city’ development, where delegates and visitors attending events at the Centre are spoilt for choice given the varied and exciting range of recreational, entertainment, food & beverage and accommodation options, with over 25,000 hotel rooms (budget to 5-star properties) within walking distance. The precinct infrastructure also provides excellent accessibility and connectivity, with the majority of attractions within a comfortable 5 to 10-minute walk via covered air-conditioned walkways from the Centre.

Core Congress Dates

24-30 August 2018

The Opening Ceremony will take place at the Plenary Hall on Saturday, 25 August 2018, and not on Sunday as in previous editions of the Congress.

Exhibition

IFLA will also hold a trade exhibition at the Exhibition Halls 1 & 2 in conjunction with the World Library and Information Congress. Attendees are invited to visit the exhibition which will be open from the afternoon of Sunday, 26 August 2018 until Tuesday, 28 August 2018. Final opening hours will be included in the Congress Programme.
