Naseej (Arabian Advanced Systems Co.) Grant for IFLA WLIC 2018

Naseej Academy and the IFLA Center for Arabic Speaking Libraries (IFLA-CASL) announce the Naseej Academy Grant to Attend IFLA Annual Conference for librarians and information specialists from the Arab world to attend the World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) organized by the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA). This year’s conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 24-30 August.

Grant details​

• The grant is awarded to a library and information specialist from the Arab world
• Priority is given to applicants presenting paper(s) during the conference, or have some other active role in the conference
• A joint committee from IFLA and Naseej Academy will select the winner of the grant
• The grant covers travel, accommodation and registration expenses for one person, up to a value of USD 2,000
• The winner commits to preparing a professional report documenting his participation in various activities at the conference, and describing how his participation will benefit his institution

Dates and Deadlines

• The final deadline for application submissions is 15 March 2018
• The grant winner will be announced on 2 April 2018
